US Wants Internet, Cell Records Held Longer

This article from AFP came across the wire today.  Interesting read:

The first sentence of the article says it all “The US Justice Department wants Internet service providers and cell phone companies to be required to hold on to records for longer to help with criminal prosecutions.”

As long as civil liberties are respected, we are all for it.

Carriers and ISPs should contact IceHook to work out their Internet and phone records storage strategy now.
